Lindsay Lohan Biography
Lindsay Morgan Lohan was born in New York City, New York, on 2nd
July 1986 . Lindsay Dee Lohan is an American
actress and pop music singer.
Her mother is Dina Lohan, a former Radio City "Rockette"
and Wall Street Analyst. Her father is Michael Lohan, a long-time Wall Street trader who developed his family's
multi-million-dollar pasta business, then sold it to pursue funding and
development of major studios and independent Hollywood projects. Her younger
brother is actor Michael Lohan and she has two other siblings: Aliana and
Dakota.Aliana is an aspiring model and actress and
brother Dakota (Cody) has modeled fashions.
Lindsay Lohan began her professional career at the ripe old
age of 3 with a contract from the Ford Modeling Agency. Coincidentally she was
Ford’s first ever red-headed child ever signed. She gained almost instantaneous
attention and soon had starred in over 60 commercials including most markedly ads
for Wendy’s Restaurants, Pizza Hut, The Gap, and opposite Bill Cosby in a Jello-O Pudding commercial. With these successful credentials Lindsay was on the
map. Lindsay Lohan’s first principal break when she was cast in the
role of Alli Fowler on the NBC TV show Another World during late 1996 and 1997.
Lindsay was the third actress to play the role.
Shortly after, she signed a
three-movie contract with Walt Disney Pictures, and was subsequently cast as the
estranged twin sisters Hallie Parker and Annie James in the remake of The
Parent Trap(1961). In 2000, Lindsay Lohan
landed a promising role as “Rose” on a new shoe starring Bette Midler titled
Bette. Soon afterwards, Lindsay
returned to Disney to complete her three-picture contract. She starred in Get a
Clue in 2002. Lindsay played the role of Lexy Gold for the movie that aired as a
Disney movie in June, 2002.
Then in July of 2002 Disney
announced that Lindsay had signed on to play lead role in the remake of Freaky
Friday.
The
film opened in August of 2003 and soon rocketed to the top of the box-office and
eventually raked in a cool $160 million in receipts.
Her music career was launched during this time, when Estefan Enterprises made a
five-album production deal with her in September 2002.
The year 2003, brought Lindsay
another lead in Disney’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. The picture was
based on the novel by Dyan Sheldon.
Lindsay Lohan’s next movie was
2004’s Mean Girls, written by SNL head writer, Tina Fey. The film was a high
school based comedy/drama and was based on a book by author Rosalind Wiseman.Lohan quickly followed up with
2005’s Herbie Fully Loaded, a remake of an old Disney franchise in which the
lovable VW becomes a Nascar racer
.Lohan relocated permanently to Los Angeles between projects, and moved into an
apartment with fellow actress Raven She also dated pop star Aaron Carter
for a short time.
